THE SOUNDS OF CHRISTMAS
What do you hear on Christmas Day? The sound of reindeer pulling a sleigh
Or is it the song the angels sing Saying, "Glory to the New Born King"
Is it the joy of the sound the children make When dawn approaches and they
awake Knowing the day has finally arrived To celebrate the birth of the Little
Christ Child
Or it may be the noise of laughter you hear From family and friends spreading
good cheer Or the whisper of snowflakes on the window pane Or the whistle and
chug of a new toy train
Do you hear the sound of the corner church chimes Ringing out carols that
will last for all times Perhaps it's the silence when everyone's gone And you
suddenly realize that you're all alone
Then the very next sound that reaches your ear Is the sound of your weeping
as you shed a tear And find that the hour too quickly has passed Because you
wanted the excitement to last
Well, the sounds of this day can always be heard If You ponder the proof You
find in God's Word That Jesus Christ is born today And the sounds of Christmas
are here to stay
